A customised 1-on-1 program designed to provide participants with the structure and tools to move their transition process from understanding into deliberate action. By fostering self-awareness and introspection, the program empowers deliberate decision-making and goal-setting. The program is built around the premise of planning backwards from the future, so that the decisions made now result in the desired future lifestyle. Sessions use frameworks and tools to refine options and actively shape participants’ transition journey.

Key elements

Session 1

  • Introductory Session -Taking control and owning the process - Understanding why you are doing this, what is involved and how to manage the process. Setting expectations is critical so all actions are focused and result in a narrow in on the end goal.

Session 2

  • Personal Values - The complexity of decisions requires one to have clarity of purpose and understand what our personal values are.  Who we work for, with and around, should be aligned based on values not goals. The need to understand the alignment of those personal values and how they enable long-term decision making is critical.

Session 3

  • Vocation Affinity Map - Order your thinking around what opportunities you believe you can earn a living/income engaged in, which future activities will provide intellectual stimulation and why meaning is important.

  • Personal Capability Matrix - Create a structured view of what skills you possess and how they relate to your preferred vocation. Then align what you are good at with what you prefer to spend your time doing.

Session 4

  • Decision Making Matrix - Based on a philosophy that multiple small changes can create substantial improvements, this is all about understanding what those 1% changes should be to grow through the transition process and maintain a positive attitude. Placing a framework around how you make those changes is more important.

  • Goal Setting & Timeline - To move from a state of thinking and understanding to that of action participants must learn what to document, how to use visualisation as a technique and set meaningful goals with a structured timeline so they move through the process and don’t get stuck at a single junction.

Session 5

  • The Way Forward - Utilising the value system and applying this to a decision matrix, the funnel of potential opportunities are road tested to narrow the funnel so that actions can be taken, and forward momentum based on structured thinking can start.

Session 6

  • Personal Branding - In preparation for entering the marketplace an in-depth review of your personal brand and how that is and should be positioned in the marketplace is reviewed with the outcome being tangible pointers on how to edit and adjust your personal brand in the digital world.
